Dom graduated from the Keele University in 2019 with an BSc degree in Chemistry before moving to the University of York to peruse a MSc by Research. During his Masters project Dom worked with Dr William Unsworth on the designing of mulit-internal nucleophile ring expansion reactions and the synthesis of novel heterocyclic macrocycles. After his Masters, Dom started his Ph.D at the University of St. Andrews in September 2020, under the supervision of Prof. David O’Hagan where he is working on antibiotic developments using fluoro-motifs. Dom’s keen interests outside the lab are marathon running, cooking, and music.
