Senjuti was born in West Bengal, India and graduated from University of Calcutta with an BSc degree in Chemistry. Then she moved to Chennai to complete her master’s degree from Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), India. She received PhD in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG), India for her thesis on ‘Comprehending the aggregation aptitude through structural variation within small molecular framework: Comparative analysis and interaction studies’ in 2021, under the supervision of Prof. Gopal Das. Then she joined as a postdoc under the guidance of Prof. Daniel Wüstner at university of Southern Denmark (SDU), Odense, Denmark where her work was mainly focused on fluorescence studies of cellular cholesterol trafficking under normal and disease-related conditions by using optical microscopy and quantitative imaging. In July 2024, she joined the O’Hagan group at the University of St Andrews as a postdoctoral research fellow for exploring the properties and application of organo fluorin motifs by fluorescence techniques and surface science approach. Apart from research, she loves painting and travelling.
