Andrea was born in Lugo (Spain). She completed a BSc in Chemistry and a MSc in Advanced Chemistry at the University of Santiago de Compostela, developing her Master Thesis in “Synthesis and synthetic applications of trifluoromethylated aryne precursors”, under the guidance of Professor María Dolores Pérez Meirás. At present, she is carrying out her PhD in Fluorine Chemistry, under the guidance of Professor David O’Hagan, and as an Early Stage Researcher for the Fluor21 Marie Curie Project.
In her free time she enjoys travelling, reading and watching movies. She is also a big fan of spending time outside, enjoying the wonders of nature.
